Nurturing and Strengthening Our Faith Community
"[. . .] where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them."
(Matthew 18:20) |
Within our own faith community, all are welcome, for we believe that our fellowship is enriched by the diversity of God’s people. Everyone is encouraged to ask questions and to grow in his or her own faith. It’s okay if we interpret the scriptures and social issues differently, for we know that God can speak to us in different ways. God certainly cannot be confined to a box of human making! We focus, therefore, not on any differences we might have but rather on what we have in common—love for God and for one another.
To nurture and strengthen faith, individuals are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities in the Community Circle.
Community Circle Activities include the following:

Members are encouraged to devote a portion of their time and talents to the ongoing activities required to maintain the church and keep operations running smoothly. By working together, we deepen our sense of community.
In addition to our activities in support of our faith community, we are called to have integrity and live our lives as Jesus did: as servants to God and servants to humanity. Each of us is thus encouraged to follow his or her heart and choose another of the circles – Forgiveness, Hope, Compassion, Peace or Justice – and work to make a difference in our world today through the activities of that circle.
