Fine Arts Opportunities

Our Core Music Groups:

• Hand Bell Choir 
  Individuals who ring out God's praises.
• Praise Team 
  A mixed group of singers whose primary focus is on contemporary praise music at the 9:50 service.
• Sacred Singers 
  This will be a small mixed-part choir whose focus will be Hymns and traditional church music.
• Men’s Ensemble 
  A small, mixed-part men’s choir singing a variety of traditional and contemporary music.

For special occasions like Easter, Christmas or any large church gatherings or events, the Mixed Choir will be a combination of all of the performers listed above and will perform larger scale works and Gospel-style music. The Mixed Choir will also be an excellent opportunity for those members interested in participating in a group but with limited time available for rehearsals.

Thank you for visiting the Music Ministries page. We are in the process of creating a new and vibrant music department here at HMCCC. In addition to our core groups, we are launching many other activities and classes to further our outreach. With our new Youth Academy, students can now sign-up for private lessons to further their musical ambitions. At the end of each semester, students will perform in a recital. For the adults, we have a new music theory class. With this class, our goal is to enhance our understanding of the music we sing and play.

In addition to the musical performers, we are working on developing a children’s puppet theatre and I would also like to begin to include dancers, poets, and writers, visual and performing artists from all genres as Special Performers during Sunday services. I believe this would be a wonderful opportunity to encourage other members of the church to embrace their own particular form of artistic expression as a form of worship. In sharing these new and exciting visions, our entire church’s worship experience can be enhanced and renewed by our own church family!

There are many opportunities to get involved. If music is not your forte, don’t fret. Our Dinner Theatre Playhouse is always looking for actors, costume designers, technical designers, stage managers, and tech crew members.
