SUNDAY SCHOOL:HMCCC provides weekly Sunday School classes for the following age groups (caregivers are available in the nursery 8:15am-Noon for younger children):
- ELEMENTARY STUDENTS (Readers thru 5th grade): 9:50-10:50am
Our elementary kids' lessons come from the B.I.G. Program. Live B.I.G. helps children see, hear and live their Belief In God. Classroom lessons are supplemented with short video segments that bring faith-filled, high-energy excitement to your children. Visit www.ilivebig.com to check out the weekly lesson plan and find B.I.G. stuff for your kids to enjoy!
The Elementary Sunday School class also holds a bake sale on the last Sunday of each month. The proceeds of their sales support the Le Pelican Child Care Center in Kabul, Afghanistan, and fund a small microfinance loan through Kiva.org. Our goal is to raise enough money to pay for one month of meals for the children of Le Pelican ($700) and to make one $25 loan per month. To see who the kids are currently helping, visit
- MIDDLE SCHOOL/JR. HIGH STUDENTS - 11:00am - Noon
Our "tweens" use a variety of materials from the following programs in their weekly meetings. Our Middle School/Jr. High kids are using the Wild Truth Bible Lessons Series. These Bible lessons send students straight to the words of Jesus to discover the truth, then dare them to live that truth today.
- SR. HIGH STUDENTS - 11:00am - Noon
The core of the Sr. High class is The Amazing Bible Race lesson series, a 6-volume scavenger hunt through the Bible for teens. The race has six legs through different sections of the Bible and promises excitement and new discoveries as youth live into the sacred stories. Check out www.amazingbiblerace.com for more info!
Trigger is a DVD series with video clips that hit on topics that matter to teens, and a discussion guide to help initiate engaging conversations.
And last but not least, 30 Days to Understanding the helps the kids learn to position key Bible characters, places, and events in chronological order. Through short, interesting, memory-enhancing exercises, this book acquaints readers with the core teachings of Scripture.
